Traditional tension membrane companies only work on large public project such as airports, amphitheaters, shopping mall and on the other end there are mail order companies that would send you DIY kits for you to put together but the low quality structure usually get blown away on the next storm.

SKYShades partner with Konarka Technology of Boston Massachusetts to integrate Konarka’s OPV (organic photovoltaic) technology into tension membrane fabric for generate renewable solar energy.
Konarka’s OPV is so called 3rd Generation solar technology. It is unique in wide (140o) angle of light collection, light weight, translucent, and increase efficiency with higher temperature.
SKYShades OPV products are now extended to Car Port and roof shading structures.
